70. Thomas FODEN was christened on 25 May 1851 in Smallwood, Cheshire.² He died St Thomas workhouse, Cheadle, Cheshire on 26 Jun 1918.² He was buried in Cheadle Cemetary, Cheadle, Cheshire.²

Thomas FODEN and Sarah JONES were married on 2 Feb 1873 in St Mary, Sandbach, Cheshire.² Family folklore suggests that Thomas was disowned by the family because he married a servant. The
marriage certificate certainly lists her as being a servant. This workhouse is now known as St Thomas Hospital and is due to be demolished in 2006.
Sarah JONES was born about 1852.² She died on 7 Jan 1905 in 24 School Street, Brinksway, Stockport, Cheshire.² She was buried in Cheadle Cemetary, Cheadle, Cheshire.² Thomas FODEN and Sarah JONES had the following children:
