30. Caroline HARDING was born about 1867 in Mow Cop, Staffs.²⁸ She appeared in the census in 1871 in Mow Cop. In 1871 she was a scholar. She appeared in the census in 1881 in Mow Cop (Scattered Houses), Staffs.²⁸ In 1881 she was a silk worker.²⁸ She died on 12 May 1926 in Mow Cop, Staffs.^58,59

Caroline HARDING and James PATRICK were married on 11 Apr 1887 in St Thomas, Mow Cop, Staffs.^58,60 James PATRICK⁶¹ (son of James PATRICK and Maria HANCOCK) was born in 1865 in Mow Cop, Staffs.⁵⁹ He died in 1943 in Mow Cop, Staffs.⁵⁹ James was in charge of the Mow Cop water pump and had the distinction of being the first man in Mow Cop to have a telephone and a flushing toilet Caroline HARDING and James PATRICK had the following children:
