Alice May MOUNTFORD was born on 21 Feb 1909 in Congleton, Cheshire.⁴³ She died on 11 Nov 1995 in Congleton, Cheshire.⁷⁰ She was always afraid of dying and passed away in the Congleton War Memorial hospital at exactly midnight. Nigel Harding writes, " I saw her about 20 minutes before she died. She looked asleep and was having difficulty breathing, her throat making a loud rattling sound which eventually became fainter and fainter". Her daughter Joan stayed by her side. She was buried in Buglawton, Cheshire.⁷⁰

Alice May MOUNTFORD and William Stanley COX were married on 19 Apr 1930 in Buglawton, Cheshire.¹⁴ William Stanley COX (son of William Edward COX and Lucy Ann TRINER) was born on 2 May 1907 in Bradley Green, Biddulph, Staffs.⁶³ He died in Apr 1984 in Macclesfield, Cheshire.⁴⁴ b. 13 Congleton Road Alice May MOUNTFORD and William Stanley COX had the following children:
