Judith SHERRATT⁴ was christened on 25 Aug 1811 in Bradley Green, Biddulph, Staffs.¹ She appeared in the census in 1841 in Mow Cop, Odd Rode, Cheshire.⁵ She appeared in the census in 1851 in Mow Cop, Cheshire.⁶ She appeared in the census in 1861 in Mow Cop, Odd Rode, Cheshire.⁷ She appeared in the census in 1871 in Mow Cop, Cheshire.⁸ She appeared in the census in 1881 in Mow Cop, Odd Rode, Cheshire.⁹ She has a grand-son Samuel staying with her (parents not yet known), age 8, born in Wolstanton, Staffs. She died after 1881.⁹ Burial is possibly: Judith Mountford of Odd Rode, aged 77, 19 Mar 1888.

He must be alive in 1881 but apparently not in Mow Cop. Also the 3 possible families fitting this James Mountford in 1881 all have children greater than 10 years old. So where were the children (or wife) in 1871?. This requires further investigation.
